Yes, Google Desktop Search must be installed before the Planet'dwg plugin.

• What are the limitations of the shareware version ?

This shareware version is complete to search in full text and is not time limited. But it indexes only the first 50 DWG files it finds.

• I have installed Planet'dwg but it doesn't match...

Google Desktop Search (GDS) only works when your computer is not in use. Be patient (10 min max ) and it will normaly all index.

• Do I need to delete the Google database and re-indexe my computer ?

Yes, if Google Desktop Search is in function on your PC, You must re-index Google database. Use the Tweak GDS plugin . Click here to download. (option "delete cache" and may to stop GDS before).

• How to know if my files are indexed ?

Maybe you have many different kinds of files on your hard drive. To isolate DWG, type only "dwg" as a keyword to begin, or "filetype:dwg" to select the  plans. Then, you can do more specific searches using texts from the plans.

• The plugin is uncheked in the preference list. What do I do ?

This problem has been corrected in the new Planet DWG 2007 version .
however, we recommend to check your PC during this operation, verifying the preferences.
If you re-check the plugin option, Planet'DWG will continue to work.

• I don't see all the thumbnails

It is possible that Planet'DWG can't create all the thumbnails. The main reasons are : 
The DWG file is already opened during the scan.
The file is corrupted (recover)
Is was created with a old version (v2.5 à 12)

• Dwg 2007 format ?

since the 15th of  September, Planet DWG 2007 reads new AutoCad DWG format.

• Google searches my entire hard drive : How to limit to the folder  "/my documents"  ?

It is possible to limit the search in "preferences", but it is better to use the "add" option of Tweak GDS which limit to a folder, an external driver ...

The actual version is 1.96
